Opportunities to witness legends rarely appear in the Greater Central Florida region. Tomorrow evening, at the Hard Rock Live Orlando, a true master guitarist will be performing in what promises to be more than a night to remember.
For those young enough to recognize the brilliance of Joe Satriani, consider yourself blessed. For those unfamiliar with “Always with me, always with you, Surfing with the Alien, and Sleep Walk,” prepare for a ride beyond guitar interpretation.
Dedicated to strange and beautiful music, Joe Satriani’s “Unstoppable Momentum” covers all the bases for an instant classic. “A Door Into Summer” is literally unrelenting. As raw, unadulterated energy pulses though each cord, receivers unobtrusively seep into a vulnerable trance due to melodic origami’s dancing vividly out of reach… slightly beyond transcription. Confused about the previous sentence? You won’t be after tomorrow’s schooling.
Joining Joe is another music legend, Steve Morse, from the acclaimed Deep Purple reign. Considered by many to be one of the premier rock performers and head above shoulders among guitar soloists, Steve’s guitar solo performance of “Stairway to Heaven” (Led Zeppelin fame) ranks alongside Hendrix’s sophistication.
Looking for a quiet Friday evening out with family, I don’t suggest Hard Rock Live Orlando to be your destination.
Looking for melodious intemperance and a venue of flogging vibration focused around a once in a lifetime release, the tag-team of Joe Satriani and Steve Morse requires no request… just be there.
