American Idol’s season 11 star Jessica Sanchez will perform the U.S. national anthem in front of a global audience on Tuesday, June 12, prior to Game 1 of The Finals between the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Miami Heat at the Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City.
The performance will be televised live on ABC in the U.S. and to a worldwide audience in 215 countries and territories beginning at 9:00 p.m. ET.
Sanchez, 16, from San Diego was a finalist in the 11th season of television’s No. 1 rated show, American Idol. She quickly became a fan favorite this season with her powerhouse vocals, often garnering high praise from the judges. Sanchez will join American Idol’s Live! Tour this summer along with her Season’s Top 10 competitors.
