Janis Stratton, an executive of Universal Orlando, was taken off of life support on Sunday, after a failed suicide attempt on Saturday, November 27.
Orange County Sheriff’s deputies responded to her home in Bay Hill around 11:41 am on Saturday, after receiving a 9-1-1 call in reference to an attempted suicide.
Upon arrival, deputies found Janis Stratton inside with what was reported to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound. She was transported to the Orlando Regional Medical Center where she was being treated for a life-threatening injury. According to news reports, Stratton was taken off of life support on Sunday.
Jan Stratton, 54, was vice president of community & diversity relations for Universal Orlando Resort, and vice president of the Universal Orlando Foundation.
