An Orange County jury on Friday found James Martin guilty of attempted second-degree murder for attacking his ex-wife and boxer, Christy Martin.
In a trial that lasted less than one week, prosecutors successfully argued that Martin stabbed and shot his then-wife on November 23, 2010, when she told him she was leaving him for a woman.
Martin was found guilty on all counts: attempted second-degree murder, attempted voluntary manslaughter with a firearm and aggravated battery.
Martin will be sentenced on June 26.
