Jameis Winston, Florida State’s Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback, was issued a citation for stealing crabs legs, tampa.cbslocal.com reported. He has been suspended from the university’s baseball team.
Winston was caught shoplifting at a Tallahassee Publix Monday night, the Leon County Sheriff’s Office said Tuesday. Apparently, he told authorities he just forgot to pay the $32 for the crab legs and other seafood items, according to news reports.
He has not been arrested for any crime.
