Junior Achievement of Central Florida (JA) recently got the ball rolling for its 30th annual Bowl-A-Thon fundraiser where local companies recruit teams, find sponsors and then come together at local bowling centers to bowl and raise money for JA. The fundraiser takes place throughout the spring at bowling centers across Orange, Seminole, Osceola, Volusia and Lake counties.
As one of the primary sources of funding along with corporate gifts, the annual fundraiser helps support JA programs that focus on financial literacy, workforce readiness, the free enterprise system and entrepreneurship. Last year, more than 8,500 bowlers raised nearly $800,000 to help JA provide these programs to 30,000 students in Central Florida.
Teams consist of at least 10 bowlers – and there’s no limit on team size. To receive more information about how your company can participate, contact Lisa Bourne at (407) 898-2121, ext. 35 or [email protected].
