Junior Achievement of Central Florida (JA) recently received a $100,000 grant from the Edyth Bush Charitable Foundation to help upgrade the organization’s overall technology infrastructure. The money will be used to improve JA’s computer equipment as well as increase its social media efforts and web presence. This grant will ultimately help the nonprofit increase its impact by growing its middle school and high school economic education programs over the next five years.
“This is the largest single-purpose annual grant received by JA in its history,” said Craig Polejes, president of JA of Central Florida, Inc. “We are honored to be given such a generous grant from Edyth Bush Charitable Foundation.”
“At Edyth Bush Charitable Foundation, we believe in assisting organizations that focus on improving the future of children in our community while promoting entrepreneurialism,” added David Odahowski, president and CEO of Edyth Bush Charitable Foundation. “Entrepreneurs create wealth and, in turn, wealth creates philanthropy. We’re happy to be a part of JA’s mission of inspiring young people to own their economic success.”
