Tavis Smiley’s special interview with Hillary Clinton will air just before President Barack Obama gives the State of the Union address.
Smiley announced this week that he is ending his State of Black America events, after 10-years. The event came under fire after then-candidate Barack Obama could not attend the 2008 conference held in New Orleans, due to his campaign schedule. Candidate Hillary Clinton did attend, and Smiley was criticized as being biased toward her over Obama and protecting her from certain questions.
Much criticism was reaped upon Smiley, and he was eventually ousted from the nationally syndicated radio program the Tom Joyner Morning Show, over the appearance that he supported Clinton over Obama.
During his special this week, Clinton will announce she will not remain as Secretary of State in the Obama administration for another term.
Is this a conspiracy or just a coincidence?
Secretary of State is a critically important cabinet seat. News that the position is not stable can effect national security and damage an administration.
