Orange County deputies are still searching for the killer of a 42-year-old woman who was found murdered in a home in Windermere, last month.
Wendy Murphy was found dead in her Greenback Boulevard home by her 17-year-old daughter on July 19. The teenager found her mother dead in bed.
Investigators believe that Murphy was killed by someone who had access to the home or someone she might have let in voluntarily, as there was no sign of forced entry. Murphy was known to be especially diligent about securing her residence and personal safety, in general, authorities said.
Detectives have not said how Murphy was killed, but are asking for the public’s help with information on this crime.
