RonaldMcCoyAn inmate  who escaped over the Halloween week-end has been captured, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement said Monday.

Ronald McCoy, 39, had been on the run since escaping from the Dade Correctional Institution in Florida City on Friday.

While the Florida Department of Corrections is still working to determine how McCoy escaped, agents believe he hid in a trash dumpster while leaving the prison.

On Monday afternoon, FDLE received a tip that McCoy was in Palm Beach county and local agencies were advised.
