The I-Drive Business Improvement District’s official holiday tree is returning to ICON Park this season, bringing holiday joy to both visiting tourists and Orlando residents.
At 6pm on December 1st, an exciting ceremony has been planned to celebrate the lighting of the 50-foot holiday tree decorated from top to bottom. Locial media influencers, local celebrities and officials will gather to flip the switch that will make lights dance on the beautiful tree and its luminous and unique backdrop, The Wheel at ICON Park. ICON Park is inviting everyone in the community to join for these festivities.
The event will feature performances from Dr. Phillips High School Dance in Motion Company, the velvety vocals of Mr. Jonathan McFadden and a special Holiday DJ to play some seasonal favorites for the kids to dance to the beat of reindeer hooves. Of course, parents are welcome to dance as well.
After the ceremony, guests can visit the award-winning Santa Workshop Experience located inside The Wheelhouse to meet Santa and take festive family photos. Children participating in The Santa Workshop Experience will receive a free ticket to ride The Wheel and the Carousel on The Promenade. Guests accompanying the children will receive 50% off their tickets to The Wheel. Reservations for The Santa Workshop Experience are required in advance.
