Downtown Orlando continues to expand offerings and world-class amenities to provide a high quality of life for residents and visitors. As part of the I-4 Ultimate construction, a Bridge District will emerge under the I-4 overpass in Downtown Orlando. The Bridge District is part of the community’s vision outlined through Project DTO that once complete, will include improved architecture and design features including aesthetic lighting, artwork and green space creating a new Downtown amenity and gathering place for our community.
In advance of that construction and as part of the I-4 Ultimate construction, parking in Lots 9 and 10 under the I-4 overpass will have limited availability. The Florida Department of Transportation has informed the City that on July 7, Lot 9 will be fully closed. Lot 10 will be partially closed at a later date to be determined. FDOT maintains that a minimum of 25% of the total parking spaces under I-4 will remain open during construction.
During construction, it is important for residents and visitors to be informed of alternative parking options. Downtown Orlando offers more than 28,000 public parking spaces that are easily accessible and conveniently located throughout the urban core.
