The husband of the Tampa Palms mom who shot their two teenage children to death, met for the first time since the murders.
Colonel Parker Schenecker met his wife, Julie Schenecker, for a non-contact visit on Friday morning, around 7:00 a.m., in a designated area at the Falkenburg Road Jail (FRJ), the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office said.
The visit, requested by Colonel Schenecker, lasted just under one hour, following which Julie Schenecker was returned to her cell at the FRJ Infirmary.
The Sheriff’s Office said that out of respect for Colonel Schenecker the visit is being treated as a “private matter”. No video of the visit and no public records related to the visit is available.
Julie Schenecker, 50, is accused of shooting to death her 13-year-old son, Beau and 16-year-old daughter, Calyx, on January 28, because they were “too mouthy”. Earlier this week, she appeared in a Tampa Court where her court appointed attorney, Robert Fraser, pleaded not guilty on her behalf.
