Human remains were recovered recently in Central Florida waterways, with two local law enforcement agencies responding but very limited information available.
The human remains were recovered from the waterways in the area of Interstate 275 and 4th Street North by the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office along with the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office last month.
Positive identification of the remains had not been determined at the time of the announcement, but the body was in the possession of the Pinellas County Medical Examiner’s Office.
No other information was provided on the human remains found recently in the waterways in the area of I-275 and 4th Street North in Central Florida.
This is an active investigation, according to local law enforcement.
