The stock market is booming and the upper income brackets are doing just fine, amassing more wealth. And despite the illusion of an economy recovery, some 49 million Americans are living at or near poverty. The gap between rich and poor is becoming bigger.
Not only is America’s poor suffering, but its middle class citizens are frustrated and have been virtually decimated since the Great Recession.
But, as much of the nation has become much poorer, one area that is ‘booming’ on account of crony capitalism, is Washington, D.C.
