Via Business Insider, Paul Rademacher overlays the BP 2,500 square mile (as of May 6th) Deepwater oil spill on various cities, just to give you a sense of how big it is.
Many environmentalists say that the Coast Guard and BP estimate of 5,000 barrels a day of crude entering the Gulf is an underestimate. They believe that oil is gushing five times more than what is being said. Well, that would be more like 25,000 barrels a day, which would make the size of the spill that much larger.
And it continues to grow every day as BP is yet to find a way to stop the spewing oil.
