Hope Cares Distributes Meals, Collects Socks & Blankets

The holidays may look a little different this year compared to how many families have celebrated in the past, especially in Orlando and around Central Florida. Two out of three Americans say inflation will impact their plans.

That’s why organizations like The Hope Church have been working to help ease those financial burdens for as many local families as possible.

On November 21st, Hope Cares handed out turkeys along with $50 gift cards to families who registered for Thanksgiving meal assistance through the ministry.

In addition to gifting Thanksgiving meals last month, Hope Cares is collecting blankets and new socks, which will go to the Christian Service Center as well as to residents of Guardian Care Nursing Home in December.

There is still time to donate and several ways to contribute.

Anyone wishing to help can drop off new fuzzy socks and/or blankets to The Hope Church, 3032 Monte Carlo Trail, Orlando. Financial contributions can be made online or scan the QR code with your phone.

Hope Cares will present the socks and blankets to the Christian Service Center and Guardian Care Nursing Home during a special event at The Hope Church on Sunday, December 18th.
