K. Hovnanian Homes, a nationally recognized homebuilder since 1959, recently completed a Facebook competition for nonprofits. Local organizations were asked to share what they would do with a $500 donation.
Receiving the most “likes” – as determined by fan vote – United in Praise, a Lake County-based non-denominational community choir with more than 80 members, ages 15 to 80 years old from 30+ churches, won the money.
In United in Praise’s qualifying post they shared, “Five hundred dollars would greatly affect our ability to reach even more people for Christ by providing sound equipment and paying insurance and fees needed to conduct concerts.”
