Troopers are searching for a driver who struck and killed a pedestrian, then fled the scene of on Sunday night.
The crash happened on Landstreet Road near Orange Avenue just after 10:00 p.m.
Troopers say, Laura Ann Miller, 36, was walking on the shoulder of Orange Avenue and was attempted to cross Landstreet Road when she was struck by an unknown vehicle traveling southbound. Â The vehicle was attempting to make a right turn to ravel westbound on Landstreet Road.
Miller was hit and ended up in the westbound lane of Landstreet Road. Â She was taken to the Orlando Regional Medical Center where she was pronounced dead. Toxicology results are being awaited to determine whether or not alcohol played a role.
Meanwhile, the callous driver of the vehicle fled the scene traveling in an unknown direction.
FHP said, they do not have a description of the vehicle.
The crash remains under investigation and charges are pending.
