Hispanic Man Gunned Down at Laundromat, Another Critically Injured

A Hispanic man was killed and another injured in a shooting incident at a laundromat in Eustis and police believe the shooters were two black male suspects.

The shooting took place on Sunday just after 10:00 pm, at the Da Village Coin Laundry, at 1002 E. McDonald Avenue.

Investigators arrived at the laundromat to find Jose Augusto Santos, 23, of Eustis and another man, who has not yet been named, suffering from gunshot wounds. Santos was transported via helicopter to the Orlando Regional Medical Center. The unnamed man was taken by ground transportation to Florida Hospital Waterman, where he was later pronounced dead.

Preliminary investigation indicates two black male suspects were the shooters.

Eye witnesses told police that after the shooting two black males fitting the descriptions of the shooters fled the area in a vehicle.

The suspected shooters are still on the run, police said.

Law enforcement agencies are continuing their hunt for the suspects.
