Orange County Fire Rescue is now recruiting certified firefighters to join one of the largest fire departments in the country, providing fire and EMS services to the 1.4 million residents in Orange County. OCFRD’s unique specialty teams, including our rescue diver/rescue swimmer program, squad technician program and special access climber program, offer vast promotional opportunities that make OCFRD a first choice department for firefighters.
Applicants who are currently in the process of obtaining either one of the above listed certifications are eligible to apply and participate in this hiring process, however proof of all certification completion must be provided by May 2, 2022 in order to be hired in May 2022; or June 24, 2022 to be hired in August 2022.
In addition, Firefighter/EMTs with two or more years of experience are eligible for incentive pay, as well as Firefighter/Paramedics in the Orlando area.
Salary:
Firefighter/EMT (No Experience) $46,311.20
Firefighter/EMT (2 or more years of experience) $47,712.80
Firefighter/Paramedic $46,311.20 (plus Paramedic Incentive)
Firefighter/Paramedic (2 or more years of experience) $49,143.60 (plus Paramedic Incentive)
