He’s Baaack: George Zimmerman hurt in shooting incident

Zimmerman-740x398George Zimmerman has been injured during an altercation with another man in Florida, according to reports.

According to reports, the bullet missed Zimmerman, the former neighborhood watch volunteer, acquitted in the 2013 murder of Trayvon Martin.  He suffered cuts to the face after his vehicle’s windshield shattered, his attorney told WESH.

Zimmerman, 31, whose injuries are only minor, was seen walking normally into the ambulance.

The shooting unfolded on Lake Mary Boulevard around 12.45pm.

Initially believed to be a road rage related incident, it’s now being reported that Zimmerman knows the other man.

A bullet hole could be seen in the passenger window of Zimmerman’s Honda Ridgeline SUV as it was towed away.

Kenneth Cornell, who works nearby on Waymont Court, told WESH that the alleged shooter approached him and said: ‘I shot George Zimmerman.’

Cornell called 911 and the alleged shooter spoke to the dispatcher to explain what had happened.

He claimed he only took out his gun and fired after Zimmerman pulled out his own weapon and waved it around, Cornell told CNN. The man is cooperating with authorities.
