Looking for funding for a new project in your community? The Office of Sen. Geraldine F. Thomson has put together some grant funding opportunities. Funding is available for a variety of uses, including the arts, education, cultural activities, panel discussions, film series and programs that help improve the physical and mental health of individual involved in the criminal justice system. Florida Humanities Council Community Project Grants
Community Project Grants provide financial support for the planning and implementation of public humanities programs and resources that meet the needs and interests of local communities. Projects may include lecture series and panel discussions, reading and discussion groups, film series, oral history projects, exhibitions, and the development of cultural resources that complement public programming.
Deadline: April 1, July 1, and October 1, 2014 at 12 pm

The Hagen Foundation
The Hagen Family Foundation (THFF) is a private family foundation established in 1999 that provides financial grants to not-for-profit organizations. THFF favors creative and innovative proposals in the areas of: The Arts; Education; Environment; Religion; Social Services. THFF does not consider contributions to annual drives, capital campaigns, research, or the support of on-going programs. THFF supports organizations nationwide, with special interest in Colorado, Michigan and Florida.

2014-2015 Florida Department of State, Division of Cultural Affairs, Florida Council on Arts and Culture
The General Program Support (GPS) grant is designed to fund the general program activities of an organization that is realizing its stated mission and furthering the state’s cultural objectives.

The Jacob and Valeria Langeloth Foundation
The Foundation is interested in projects that seek to improve the physical and mental health of individuals involved in the criminal justice system. Programs focusing on alternatives to incarceration, detention, and reentry will be considered. While the Foundation does not support prevention projects, it is interested in programs that seek to reduce recidivism.
