Today, Apple CEO Tim Cook offered details on its Watch including information on models, pricing and apps that will run on your wrist, although the company first announced the Watch last September.
The Watch will be available in three editions. Prices for the Sport model will start at $350, while the standard Apple Watch which will start at $550 features a stainless steel case or in traditional or space black, and comes in two sizes. The most expensive, the Apple Watch Edition, is made from 18-karat gold and will sell for a base price of $10,000 and can run up to $17,000.
In making the announcement of the new Apple Watch, Cook said: “This is the most personal device we have ever created. It’s not just with you, it’s on you.”
Cook added that Apple makes products that enhance people’s lives and the Apple Watch takes that to a new level.
‘It even reminds you if you’ve been sitting too long and it can set you a new movement target each week,’ said Cook.
The Watch has a 18-hour battery life, more than enough for anyone I think, he said.
