Healthcare workers and members of 1199 SEIU will picket several locations on Thursday, August 8th, calling for respect for good wages, benefits and staffing.
“Today is the day we picket across Florida to make our voices heard,” said Amy Runkle, a CNA for 20 years at Heritage Health Care in Venice, Florida. “Our message is ‘no more cuts’. Our residents care and wellbeing must be our primary concern. Come out and support your health care workers that put residents first not profit.”Â
