The robbery netted him a mere seven cents, but a 15-year-old Syracuse, New York, boy will spend anywhere from two to six years in juvenile detention, according to a sentence handing down by a judge today.

Anthony Stewart, 15, was found guilty by a jury of first degree robbery in July, although he had pleaded not guilty. His accomplice, Skyler Ninham, 16, who pleaded guilty, was sentenced to one and one-third to fours years in state prison, syracuse.com reports.

Onondaga County Judge William Walsh said, he might have sentenced Stewart differently had he pleaded guilty like Ninham, according to the paper.

Ninham and the 73-year-old victim, identified Stewart as a participant in the crime.

Judge Walsh said that, because Stewart denied the robbery it would “cost” him.

Stewart will also spend the rest of his life as a felon as a result of the sentence.
