A woman from Illinois was arrested last Friday, accused of biting off a “large” piece of her boyfriend’s tongue, after the two got into a fight, following a Valentine’s Day outing.
Elaine Cook and her boyfriend went out on Valentine’s Day and when the two returned to her apartment they got in a fight, The Chicago Sun-Times reported.
Cook asked her boyfriend to leave. But before doing so, he leaned in to kiss her as he wanted to end the argument, the paper also reported. That’s when the 51-year-old Cook, bit off a “large” piece of her boyfriend’s tongue.
Cook was arrested and charged with aggravated battery. She is being held on a $100,000 bond.
As to the boyfriend who lost the right side of his tongue, doctors were unable to re-attach the missing piece of tongue.
