Habitat for Humanity Orlando has hired James Tyson as its vice president of development.
Prior to joining Habitat, Tyson was the vice president of external affairs and served as the chief spokesperson and charitable foundation administrator for the Insurance Office of America. For more than 18 years, he has provided fundraising counsel to higher education institutions, social service and civic agencies. In addition, Tyson currently serves as the president of the board of trustees for the Orange County Library System.
Tyson received a bachelor’s degree political science from Morehouse College.
