Novel Charity Event Inspired by The World Cup of Paintball,
Free Event Returning for Second Year at Fantasy of Flight
WHY: The World Cup Paintball Championships return again to Fantasy of Flight this year bringing hundreds of fierce paintball competitors from all over the world, vying to paint that town red, blue, black and well, all colors, to win the international title.
But this year, the most prominent color may be PINK.
This year, guests of the free event are invited to “Take Aim at Breast Cancer” in honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness month.
Guests will have a chance to fight the battle against breast cancer by creating one-of-a-kind “paintball art.” They can donate $10 each for a preloaded round of pink paintballs. At the command of “Ready… aim…. ART!” fans will trigger a splattering of pink paint across canvases that will become works of art to be auctioned off for the cause. All of the $10 donations will benefit the local chapter of the Susan G. Komen Foundation. The art will be auctioned off at the Winter Haven Hospital’s annual fundraising gala on November 4th, 2010.
