Greene Sued by Consulting Firm

Jeff Greene, remember him?

Former U.S. Senate candidate, Jeff Greene, who failed in his recent bid to win the Democratic nomination is being sued by Devine Mulvey, a Washington D.C. consulting firm, for failing to pay for services.

According to the complaint filed in Miami-Dade Circuit Court, Greene engaged the firm less than a month before Election Day as he lagged in the polls. By the final days of the campaign, Greene owed the company $394,274 for production of media spots.

It’s very simple,” said attorney Larry Bassuk. “Devine Mulvey delivered. Devine Mulvey performed. Jeff Greene didn’t.”

Bassuk acknowledged that the terms of the contract were never put in writing, but said there was “abundant” communication between the two parties establishing the terms.

Greene said the accusations were not true and that the campaign doesn’t owe the company any money. “We’re not skimping people,” he said. “We’re not, not paying our bills.”
