The police informant and buyer of a 8-week-old boy from his grandmother said she knew that she was doing the right thing by saving the baby, as the same woman sold her for profit 26 years ago.
“I knew I was doing the right thing. I had to get him out of that house,” said Danielle Skiver, the 27-year-old biological daughter of child-for-sale suspect Patty Bigbee of Holly Hill.
Patty Bigbee, who was arrested last Friday for attempting to sell her 8-week-old grandson, had almost three decades ago, done the same thing to her own daughter, collecting thousands of dollars, according to Skiver.
Bigbee’s boyfriend, Lawrence Works, 42, along with the baby’s mother, Stephanie Bigbee Fleming, 22, were also arrested for their roles in the scheme to sell the baby boy for $30,000.
