On your mark…get set…go…to The Marked Summit taking place Friday, February 1 & Saturday, February 2 at Calvary Assembly (1199 Clay Street, Winter Park, FL 32789).
Sponsored by Genuine Entertainment Group, LLC, the Summit kicks off with a free pre-show event at The Lounge 360 (from 8 p.m. to 12 a.m.); followed by workshops on Saturday (from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.); and ending with the “Refuge @ The Summit” worship concert featuring national recording artists Shana Wilson and Israel Houghton (from 6:30 p.m. to 11 p.m.).
“The Marked Summit 2013 is a place where PASSION, PROWESS and PURPOSE work together,” said conference host William B. Morris, co-founder of Genuine Entertainment Group in Orlando. “There are marked entrepreneurs, musicians, singers and even inspirational speakers lying dormant, awaiting the opportunity to be awakened.”
Morris, who graduated from Full Sail University with a master’s degree in the Entertainment Business, says the mission of the Summit is to empower people to walk in what they have been purposed to do.
“Individuals will be motivated to impact the lives of others and their communities by using their talents, gifts and influences!” exclaimed the Plainfield, New Jersey native. “The Summit will be an experience that combines powerful inspirational messages, incredible worship and insightful teachings on various topics that display how one is to be marked or set apart for their specific purpose.”
On January 31, 2012, Morris established Genuine Entertainment Group with his business partner and friend, Benjamin E. Akuma. Their goal is to revolutionize the essence of Christian entertainment by exposing audiences, locally and globally, to productions fused with passion, quality and substance.
“I have always been led by the whispers in my heart,” said Morris. “Whatever I have done, my heart had to be in it…or else it wouldn’t be genuine.”
