In the true spirit of the season, Goodwill Industries of Central Florida is giving thanks to its donors with a token of appreciation.
On Saturday, November 20th, the nonprofit will host a “Thanks for Giving” event to express gratitude to donors who keep its operations running year-round. From 10am to 2pm, community members who make a donation at their local Goodwill retail store or Donation Xpress location will receive a 10% discount to use during their next shopping visit. Goodwill says there’s a special need for more sweaters, jackets, coats, small appliances, coffee makers, blenders, toasters, sneakers, boots and more.
Donations play a key role in providing resources and jobs to Central Floridians. Revenue generated through sales of gently used items fund the organization’s employment placement and job skills training services, as well as its vocational rehabilitation program.
