Goodwill Announces Job Recruitment Event

 

On May 6, Goodwill Industries of Central Florida, will kick off “Goodwill Industries Week” – a commemoration that celebrates new jobs and changed lives – with a job recruitment event at its Orlando Job Connection Center (JCC). Goodwill is currently hiring cashiers, cashier supervisors and donation attendant processors. Because this is a recruitment event, attendees must call ahead to make an appointment to apply in person. Applicants are asked to dress in professional attire and bring their résumé.

More info: Goodwill’s JCC’s offer a variety of job training and placement services like résumé building, networking and mentoring to people with barriers to employment. These programs are offered at no cost to the community and are funded by proceeds from sales of donated items at the nonprofit’s 27 area retail stores. Since the beginning of 2013, Goodwill has served 11,251 people at its Job Connection Centers – and of those, 2,684 are now employed.
