An employee at a Golden Corral restaurant in Port Orange blew the lid off of possible unsafe food handling practices, leading the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation to launch an investigation.
Brandon Huber, the employee, posted a video on youtube on July 1, that has gone viral.
According to Huber this particular Golden Corral would put food by dumpsters as they get ready for inspections. The video Huber shot he says, shows hamburger meat, chicken and baby back ribs with flies, next to a dumpster.
“To me this is disgusting,” Huber says on the video. “I don’t think this is right.”
“Let me show you just how disgusting this is,” Huber adds as he continues shooting the video.

According to news reports, Golden Corral issued a statement saying that none of the food seen on the video was served to customers and it was destroyed within an hour.
The manager involved was terminated for failure to follow food-handling procedures, the statement added.
