Glenridge Middle School, located at 2900 Upper Park Rd is currently on lock down, Orlando police said late on Monday.
Police received an anonymous tip that someone may have brought a gun on campus.
Police said, a loaded magazine for a gun was found in a trash can, but no firearm was located.
Investigators are currently working with the school to determine how the magazine ended up in the trash can.
