Deputies arrested Shellie Zimmerman, 25, just after 3:30 p.m. She was booked into the John E. Polk Correctional Facility and released on $1,000 bond, authorities said.

Authorities also say, Shellie Zimmerman lied to the Court at the bond hearing of her husband George Zimmerman in April.  Zimmerman is accused of fatally shooting Trayvon Martin, 17, an unarmed black teen.

At the bond hearing in April, Shellie portrayed the couple as having no financial means. At the time too, George did not contradict her.  But prosecutors said, the Zimmermans did have a conversation in code about their finances and approximately $135,000 was transferred from George’s legal fund to his personal bank account.

On June 1, Judge Kenneth Lester revoked George’s bond and ordered him back to jail because of the deception.

“…This is a serious charge for which life may be imposed; the evidence against him is strong; he has been charged with one prior crime, for which he went through a pre-trial diversion program, and has had an injunction lodged against him,” Judge Lester wrote in the order revoking Zimmerman’s bond. “Most importantly, though, is the fact that he has now demonstrated that he does not properly respect the law or the integrity of the judicial process.”

Judge Lester also wrote that had the true financial circumstances of the Zimmermans been known, the bond decision might have been different. At the April bond hearing, Zimmerman’s bond was set at $150,000.

A second bond hearing for George Zimmerman is set for June 29.

28-year-old George Zimmerman is charged with second degree murder in the shooting death of Martin, in late February.

Zimmerman has pleaded not guilty and said, he shot the teen in self defense.
