George Zimmerman’s wife, Shellie, said Friday, her husband is ‘selfish’ and she accused him of making “reckless” decisions.
Shellie Zimmerman lambasted her husband, the man acquitted of murdering Trayvon Martin last year, in an interview with Good Morning America on Friday.
“In my opinion, he feels more invincible since the court case,” said 26-year-old Shellie. “I think he’s just making some reckless decisions.”
Shellie spoke to ABC in an exclusive television interview, one day after filing for divorce on Thursday.
She described her husband as “selfish” saying he developed a temper and “beat her down” throughout the marriage.
‘I stood by my husband through everything and I feel like he left me with a bunch of pieces of broken glass that I’m supposed to now assemble and make a life,’ she said.
According to clickorlando.com, Shellie is asking that her husband pay for a permanent life insurance policy with her named as the beneficiary.
She also wants a judge to bar him from selling off any property and wants an equal distribution of their checking accounts, trusts, partnerships and any unknown assets, clickorlando.com also reported.
Since being acquitted of second degree murder charges, Zimmerman, 29, has made headlines on two occasions when he was stopped for speeding.
