Even as Florida lawmakers await the outcomes of a gaming study, casino conglomerates have begun to ramp up their lobbying efforts as legislative panels begin convening next week, and the Senate Gaming Committee embarks on meetings across the state next month.
Casino conglomerates pushed a much-hyped bill (HB 487) last that would have allowed three mega-resort casinos in South Florida, but the bill died in the House amidst heavy lobbying for and against it.
