Gainesville Fine Arts Festival at Tioga Town Center, March 6-8

photofinalThe Gainesville Fine Arts Association’s (GFAA) 8th Annual Winter Fine Arts Fair at Tioga is a hip and unique art festival, with the upcoming theme of  “Art in Motion.” The GFAA’s annual event showcases 120 local and national artists in an atmosphere of exciting entertainment, music, food and fun. The event takes place at the Tioga Town Center, W. Newberry Road, Gainesville, FL from March 6th to 8th. Admission is free.

The festival kicks off Friday night with 120 illuminated artists booths, free live stage entertainment performed by Gruv Therapy, and the aerial wonderland of stringed lighting above the streetscapes of the Tioga Town Center.

Saturday the festival shifts into action with Sand Sculptor, Mark Flynn, creating a masterpiece from 2,000 lbs of sand (sponsored by Campus USA Credit Union), “Art in Motion” demonstrations given by various artists in their booths as listed in the festival program. Plus, the “Kids Zone” will feature a local Student Art Show (sponsored by Daytime Dogs & Friends), Martin Kids Dental Health Team, S & H Iron Horse train rides, Corks and Colors Studio, Fabulous Face Entertainment, Pathways Arts, Gigi’s Playhouse Down Syndrome Achievement Center and more.

Sunday, feast your eyes on  “Luke” the painting elephant from Two Tails Ranch as he creates his unique artwork or pose with Luke for a photo opportunity.

There will be food vendors, live entertainment, excitement for all ages. There is ample parking and convenient access to the festival.
