Full Sail Announces Graduate Results for 94th Annual Academy Awards

Full Sail University said that over 35 alumni were credited on 8 Oscar-winning projects at the 94th annual Academy Awards. This year’s in-person ceremony was held on Sunday, March 27th at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, and aired live on ABC with Will Smith’s slap being the main event.

A number of Full Sail grads were credited on Best Picture nominees like Don’t Look Up, Dune, West Side Story, and King Richard for their work in production, sound, visual effects, and props; when the Oscar-winners were announced, 37 graduates were credited on eight Oscar-winning projects in 16 categories, including Best Picture winner CODA.

Full Sail grads played integral roles on a number of 2022’s Oscar-nominated films. For instance, Film alumnus Paola Serrano was credited on Best Costume Design-nominee Cruella for their work as a Costume Production Assistant.

“If one thing can be said about Full Sail’s faculty, it’s ‘They have done it,'” said Rick Ramsey, Full Sail’s Visual Arts Education Director. “Full Sail faculty have worked on Star Wars, Planet of the Apes, and have even trained NASA astronauts how to shoot video in space. That level of experience is priceless.”
