Free Pioneer Days Festival at Cypress Grove Park

It’s Pioneer Days Festival this weekend – February 24th and 25th – at Cypress Grove Park in Orlando (290 Holden Ave.) and admission is free.




Orange County Commissioner Mayra Uribe invites the community to come out and enjoy amazing music, car shows, history, food trucks, games, craft vendors, lots of activities for children and a pie eating contest.

Yes, Commissioner Uribe will be competing in the pie eating contest!

Pioneer Days Festival

Pioneer Days is an annual family-oriented, community-sponsored/planned event promoting the living history of the Pine Castle area through demonstrations and other educational opportunities for attendees, according to the District 3 Commissioner.

According to what has been posted, here is the expected Pioneer Days Festival schedule:

Saturday, 2/24:

  • sunrise to 9am – late set-up
  • 9am – all vehicles used during set-up must be parked in designated areas for duration of the event
  • 10am – gates open, classic car show entrants arrive/park
  • 10:30am – opening ceremonies.
  • 5pm – vendor area closes
  • sunset – flag retirement ceremony at BSA encampment
    (overnight camping available for re-enactors)

Sunday, 2/25:

  • sunrise – gates open for event prep
  • 9am – nondenominational sunrise service featuring circuit riders
  • 4pm – vendor area closes, site clean-up begins

Residents are encouraged to stop by the local event and share with others.
