Two persons who were gunned down in a bar on Orange County’s Eastside early on Monday morning were pronounced dead at Florida Hospital East, deputies said. Investigators responded to the La Tasca Club de Valeria at 1111 Amber Road around 4:30 am, where they were advised of a shooting incident. Shortly after arriving on the scene, deputies received word from Florida Hospital East that the men died from their wounds.
Deputies have identified the Hispanic men who were killed as, 22-year-old Yoelae Urbay and 24-year-old Luis Orlando Martinez.
Meanwhile, late on Sunday night, a Hispanic man shot and killed his estranged wife and her new boyfriend. The suspect, Eligio Isalgue, 45, forcibly entered the apartment of his estranged wife, Rosa Barrientos Islague, 49, just after 9:30 pm, on Sunday, opened fire, killing Rosa and her new boyfriend, Raymond D. Treasure, 48 years.
A spokesperson for OPD said, an eye witness told police, Eligio was peeking through Rosa’s apartment in the 5400 block of Lake Margaret Drive, before he forced his way in.
Eligio eventually gained entry through the rear sliding glass door, after his attempt to kick in the front door failed.
Police accused Eligio of killing Rosa and Treasure with a .40 handgun, which was recovered inside the apartment.
At the time of the shooting, Eligio and Rosa’s 13-year-old daughter and an older friend, were also in the apartment, but were not harmed.
Eligio Islague has been charged with two counts of first degree murder and is being held without bond in the Orange County Jail. He was due to appear in court on Monday morning.
Investigators have no suspect(s) in the double homicide of Urbay and Martinez at this time.
The suspects were described as two Hispanic males, armed with handguns. It is believed that they were driving a red Dodge Neon.
