The number of available online job openings in Florida was 15 percent higher in September than the same month a year ago, the Department of Economic Opportunity said Wednesday.
The 268,575 posted job openings was also up 4,300 over August.
According to Help Wanted OnLine data from The Conference Board, online job demand was strongest in the state’s large metro areas, led by Orlando, Miami, Tampa, and Jacksonville. The Fort Myers and Lakeland areas saw the largest year-over-year increase, 9 percent.
