Florida’s Freedom Forever Trail was unveiled by FDOT.
FDOT introduced Florida’s Freedom Forever Trail located at the I-75 Welcome Center in Hamilton County. It is more than a path, it is a newly finished tribute to those who served and continue to inspire the community.
Florida’s Freedom Forever Trail is a living tribute to the nation’s heroes. The Path of Liberty honors those veterans who serve and the freedoms they defend. Built by the Florida Department of Transportation at the I-75 Welcome Center, the trail invites everyone to walk beneath the flags, or participate remotely by exploring interactive activity stations.
It also provides a space to reflect on the spirit of courage and independence that defines this great nation.
“Here, in the Free State of Florida, freedom lives on: honored, celebrated, and forever remembered,” FDOT’s website states about the trail.
There are 27 American flags that represent the creation of Florida as the 27th state of the Union. Visitors are encouraged to reflect, and connect with the spirit of liberty. Check out the interactive map to explore notable moments in history and participate in activities incorporating heritage, independence, and patriotic spirit.
“Walk beneath the flags, explore interactive stations, or join virtually to celebrate the spirit of liberty that lives on in the Free State of Florida. Today and every day, we honor, remember, and thank our veterans,” the Florida Department of Transportation posted.
