A Florida woman claimed a top prize in the $2,500 A Week For Life scratch-off game from the lottery.
The Florida Lottery recently announced that Cynthia Price, of Beverly Hills, Florida, claimed a top prize from the $2,500 A Week For Life scratch-off game.
The Citrus County woman chose to receive her winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $1,949,000.
The Central Florida winner purchased her winning ticket from 7-Eleven, located at 3045 W. Norvell Bryant Highway in Lecanto in Citrus County.
She claimed her top prize at Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee.
For just $5, players can win big with the $2,500 A Week For Life scratch-off game, which featured four top prizes of $2,500 a week for life, with over $106.2 million in total cash prizes. There is one top prize remaining according to the Florida Lottery.
The game’s overall odds of winning are 1 in 3.96.
Scratch-off games are an important part of the Lottery’s portfolio of games, comprising approximately 74 percent of ticket sales in fiscal year 2023-2024. Additionally, since inception, scratch-off games have awarded more than $70.8 billion in prizes, created 2,475 millionaires, and generated more than $20.98 billion for the state’s Educational Enhancement Trust Fund (EETF).
