A Florida woman has been arrested and charged in the stabbing murder of her mother.
The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office has arrested 49-year-old Kelly Tinsley of Barefoot Bay for causing the death of her mother, 69-year-old Cheryl Meurer on January 8th, at a residence on Sea Gull Drive, Barefoot Bay.
Tinsley was arrested after an arrest warrant was issued by Judge Kelly Ingram charging her with Manslaughter Reclassified with the use of a Weapon.
The investigation began when deputies responded to the residence at approximately 5:15am, in reference to the report of an injured woman. Upon arrival, deputies located the victim, Ms. Meurer, inside the residence.
The victim had been stabbed multiple times and was pronounced deceased at the scene. Based on evidence collected and statements gathered during the investigation, agents believe that on the evening of January 8th, Tinsley and the victim became involved in a physical altercation that ended with the victim being stabbed to death.
Tinsley was being held at the Brevard County Jail Complex on a No Bond status.
