A Florida Republican was elected as RNC Chair, as the Republican National Committee elected Joe Gruters as Chairman.
“Today is not about one person, it is about our mission. The midterms are ahead where we must expand our majority in the House and the Senate and continue electing Republicans nationwide,” RNC Chair Joe Gruters said. “Everything moving forward begins with election integrity. Every legal vote must be counted, every ballot protected, and Republicans must be ready to win before, during, and after election day… Every vote matters.”
The Republican Party of Florida congratulated former RPOF Chairman and longtime Trump ally Senator Joe Gruters on his victorious election as Chairman of the Republican National Committee. Republicans said that as RPOF Chair from 2019 to 2023, Gruters helped deliver historic Republican victories at every level of government and helped turn Florida into a red state.
Florida stands with over 1.3 million more registered Republican voters than Democrats – a testament to strong Republican leadership, Gruters’ contributions, and the tireless work of our grassroots and current and past chairmen, the party said. Florida’s remarkable shift from a competitive battleground to a strong Republican stronghold in the nation is proof that Florida’s model works, RPOF said. Now, Republicans hope to bring that political success nationwide.
“Joe Gruters being elected RNC Chair is a big win for America,” said RPOF Chairman Evan Power. “He has been a warrior for President Trump and the Republican cause from the beginning, and we know he will bring the same winning formula that turned Florida deep red to the rest of the country.”
Democrats said the incoming Republican chair has some things in common with President Trump: “They’re both Florida men pushing extreme policies, and they’ve both been credibly accused of sexual assault.”
“Incoming RNC Chair Joe Gruters is just who Donald Trump would want for the position: a parrot for his own extremist agenda,” Deputy Rapid Response Director Jaelin O’Halloran said in a statement for the Democratic National Committee. “Gruters is bringing his worst ideas from Florida to the national stage — from ripping away health care to banning abortion — along with his wacky and dangerous conspiracy theories. With a past riddled with sexual assault allegations and as the architect of Florida’s six-week abortion ban, Gruters and Trump will have a lot to bond over while they turn the Republican Party into even more of a personal propaganda machine for Trump.”
Newly elected RNC Chair Joe Gruters was welcomed by Chairman Michael Whatley as both delivered remarks during the recent RNC elections. “To accomplish our goal of expanding those majorities, President Trump has wholly endorsed Joe Gruters to serve as our next RNC Chairman,” Michael Whatley said. “Joe is a true conservative fighter, and he has been a steadfast ally of President Trump’s since day one… Don’t just take my word, take the President’s word, he will not let you down.”
“Through it all, we will stay true to our principles: faith, family, freedom, and opportunity. These are not just Republican values, they are American values. Together, we will expand our Republican majority and deliver sweeping victories that will shape America for generations to come,” RNC Chair Joe Gruters said. “So, let’s get to work, let’s win, and let’s save America.”
