The Florida Police Benevolent Association endorsed in Senate race.
“We were excited to welcome Senator Ashley Moody back to Florida this morning as we officially endorsed her for U.S. Senate,” the Florida Police Benevolent Association posted. “Taking time to be here with our members made this event even more special, and it was a great morning filled with strong support for law enforcement and the future of our state. We’re proud to stand with Ashley as she continues to fight for those who serve and protect our communities every day.”
The Florida Police Benevolent Association is a politically proactive labor organization that represents law enforcement officers in negotiations for wages, benefits and terms of their employment. The goal of the Florida PBA is to provide law enforcement officers with a strong and effective voice before legislative and local government bodies.
The Florida PBA called Senator Ashley Moody a “steadfast champion of law enforcement,” and said she has consistently fought to protect and support law enforcement.
“We need someone in Washington that understands the sacrifices made every day to keep Florida safe–and with Ashley Moody, we know we have that leader,” the Florida PBA posted.
The Republican Senator is being targeted by Democrats and the Florida Senate race will be hotly contested. Senator Moody’s campaign gained a boost from the endorsement and said it reflects her success.
“Florida’s exceptional law enforcement officers are the secret to our success as the freest, most prosperous state in the nation. Having the support of the largest law enforcement association in our state means we are doing something right,” Senator Ashley Moody posted as she thanked Florida PBA for supporting her campaign.
