Florida Police Arrest Former NFL Super Bowl Champion

Florida police arrested a former NFL Super Bowl champion after a collision involving six vehicles in a parking garage.




Local law enforcement called it a “”serious incident,” which occurred within the Marina Grande parking garage at 2650 Lake Shore Dr.

The driver, identified as Timothy B. McKyer, is a resident of the area. Law enforcement said he allegedly struck parked vehicles within the South Florida garage before fleeing the scene.

Riviera Beach Police Department is investigating the matter, and said they were striving to identify the owners of the five vehicles impacted by the collision. Officer Desantis of the Riviera Beach Police Department made the arrest in connection with the incident.

According to local law enforcement, Timothy B. McKyer was arrested and charged with:

  • leaving the scene of accident with property damage exceeding $50 (5 counts)
  • one criminal citation – traffic misdemeanor leaving the scene
  • one citation – traffic infraction for failure to report

The police investigation remains ongoing and authorities urge anyone with pertinent information to come forward and assist in the process.

McKyer played for multiple teams in the NFL from 1986 to 1997, including the Miami Dolphins in Florida. He also won two Super Bowls with the San Francisco 49ers and a third Super Bowl with the Denver Broncos.
